What we do
Our purpose is to enhance and assure the quality of undergraduate and postgraduate education across the University.
We also support students in developing their skills and awareness, in order to build meaningful careers throughout their working lives.
Education Quality and Policy Office (EQPO)
EQPO is responsible for the quality assurance of teaching and learning and for University-wide, education-related policies.
Careers Service
The University of Cambridge Careers Service provides effective and impartial careers education and guidance to students, post-doctoral researchers and alumni. Our Service also provides a broad range of opportunities to explore and connect with the labour market, or to take up further study.
Cambridge Centre for Teaching and Learning (CCTL)
CCTL supports educators, encourages innovation and provides a focus for enhancing undergraduate and postgraduate education at Cambridge.
Our forums bring Cambridge educators and students together to reflect on important questions and challenges, as well as sharing ideas and expertise. We help to develop an evidence base for designing and evaluating educational activities. We also provide training for postgraduate students, accredited teaching development programmes, and short workshops for staff who teach or support learning.
Postgraduate Research Office
The Postgraduate Research Office focuses on matters relating to postgraduate research (PGR) students, including understanding and responding to UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) expectations, and maintaining quality assurance, policies and practices.
Our team also supports and coordinates activities which aim to:
- Improve the experiences of PGR students and their supervisors
- Increase the number of successful UKRI Doctoral training partnership (DTP) bids
Blended Learning Service
The Blended Learning Service is dedicated to enabling and enhancing digital experiences across the University. We provide support, training and guidance that aim to further develop blended education at Cambridge.
Our team combines research, design, and policy to ensure staff are kept up to date with technological and pedagogical developments and feel confident to engage effectively with emerging themes in education whilst being supported by the institution to do so. Students can also ask for support from the Blended Learning Service as we seek to better understand their educational needs and feed these insights back into our ongoing growth and development.
