Our purpose is to manage the administration of a student’s journey – from registration to student progression, examination and graduation.
Exam Operations and Mitigating Circumstances
The Exam Operations and Mitigating Circumstances team provide expert administrative support and advice to the University and Colleges relating to the operational delivery of exams and reasonable adjustments for undergraduate and postgraduate taught (PGT) courses.
We also manage the administration of exceptional circumstances and allowances for undergraduate and PGT students.

International Student Office (ISO)
The International Student Office provides specialist support to the University's international students and supports student mobility activity.
Our work includes:
- Responsibility for ensuring institutional compliance with Home Office student immigration requirements
- Providing prospective and current students with student immigration and related advice
- Promoting student mobility opportunities, including the administration of the Turing Scheme and supporting year abroad exchange arrangements
- Administering the Kurt Hahn Trust and Smuts Memorial Fund
- Providing orientation and arrival support to students coming to study from outside the UK
- Maintaining the International Students webpages
Office of Student Conduct, Complaints and Appeals (OSCCA)
The Office of Student Conduct, Complaints and Appeals provides procedural advice, case handling and oversight of a number of student procedures.
This includes:
- Complaints
- The review of examination results
- Fitness to study
- Harassment and sexual misconduct
- Discipline
- A number of final appeal stage processes such as fitness to practise
We are the point of contact and handle responses, for the Office of the Independent Adjudicator (OIA), an external ombudsman where students can raise complaints after completing an internal University procedure.
Student Registry
The Student Registry is a central administrative hub for the collegiate University. They manage all aspects of student administration from matriculation through to graduation and maintaining the student record, which is the foundation of information for students and staff.
Some of our key functions and purposes include:
- Registering new and returning students
- Maintaining student records and course information
- Overseeing changes in student status
- Student record support
- Administering and running all degree congregations
- Scheduling teaching and examinations in central education spaces
- Processing DBS checks
- Data reporting
