Academic Division

The Student Services Centre on the New Museums Site which is shaded in purple in the south elevation of the North Range of Buildings above, is part refurbishment of existing buildings (ground floor of part of the Cavendish Lab, whole of the Arts School) and part new build (replacing the current Exams Halls). The project is the second phase development of the New Museums Site Masterplan, after the David Attenborough Building.

The building brings together student serving Units under one roof for the first time in the history of the University, nine of which are part of the Unified Administrative Service and five of which are part of the Academic Division.

Approximately 250 staff members will co-locate with the aim to provide efficient and centralised frontline support to students, and to enhance collaborative work and knowledge sharing between the Units.
